How QIP Vault Works
A multi-layered release process designed for security, privacy, and intentional handoff.
1. Encrypt and Protect
Store your critical assets—credentials, instructions, documents, and private notes—inside your client-side encrypted Vault.
2. Assemble Capsules & Recipients
Designate who receives which items. Each recipient receives an independent, immutable cryptographic package that can only be decrypted on their device upon release.
3. Set Your Trigger Policy
Configure inactivity check-ins (e.g. 30–90 days) or a scheduled date. Designate Trusted Guardians for verification and escalation.
4. Verification & Mandatory Final Hold
When a trigger condition occurs, QIP begins verification. A mandatory Final Hold period (minimum 72 hours) allows you to cancel any false alarm before any secrets can be released.
5. Device-Bound Recipient Delivery
After independent human and technical authorization, recipients verify their identity through multi-channel checks and decrypt their capsule directly on their private device.
